SCI Admission

General Admission Requirements

1. At least one of the following academic entry criteria must be met by an International applicant for the undergraduate course:
   • HSC/Year 12 certificate or a minimum ATAR of 65 or equivalent or an international equivalent qualification recognised by National Office for Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR)
   • Satisfactory completion of an authorised Tertiary Preparation Program, Tertiary Orientation Program, or a Foundation Year Program through an accredited higher education institution provided at:
     • Australian Universities;
     • TAFE Institutes;
     • Government approved Registered Training Organizations (RTOs);
     • An approved foreign provider recognised by NOOSR.
   • Satisfactory completion of one year of accredited full-time study in the associated discipline at Certificate IV or greater level at a licensed Australian supplier of tertiary education, as follows:
     • Certificate IV;
     • Diploma of Business;
     • Advanced Diploma;
     • Vocational Graduate Certificate;
     • Vocational Graduate Diploma;
     • Associate Degree;
     • Bachelors’ Degree.
2. Satisfactory completion of one year of accredited full-time study in an associated discipline at Certificate IV or greater level at an accredited foreign education provider as recognised by NOOSR.
3. If English is not the first language of the applicant, they should satisfy the ‘English Proficiency Requirements’ given in the sections below.
4. Once admission is approved to the Institute, ‘Genuine Temporary Entrant’ (GTE) criteria as defined by the Australian Department of Home Affairs verification process will be undertaken;
5. SCI GTE Form must be completed;
6. The completed GTE Form will be assessed by SCI staff;
7. Satisfactory GTE and payment of required tuition fees will lead to issuance of Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)
8. Students are to provide SCI with student visa proof to demonstrate that they have the right to study in Australia.
